Jake is Vice President and a Producer for First State Agency. Jake started working with First State Agency in 2013 and specializes in Home, Auto, Life, Health and Small Business. Jake believes in getting to know his clients and providing the options which best benefits the clients’ needs. Customer service is a top priority for his clients.
Jake graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Corporate Communications and minor in Business Management. Jake was a 3 years starter for the Northern Illinois University football team as a Tight End. Jake also played in the NFL from 2007-2012, playing with the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, and finishing his career in the UFL with the Las Vegas Locos. In 2011 Jake received the United Way Player of the Year award while with the Lions.
Jake makes his home in Sioux Falls, and married his best friend, Jaclyn, in 2012. Jake is a member of the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and is still active in coaching/teaching the area youth the game of football.
When Jake is not at the office, he enjoys working out, fishing, traveling, and cruising the lakes of SD, MN and IA with his Wife Jaclyn and their family and friends.
Rick is Owner/President of First State Agency with 30 years’ experience in the insurance and real estate industry specializing in farm, crop, home, auto, health and long term care. Rick has focused his career on providing personalized “one on one” service and offering protection tailored to the unique needs of the individual client.
Rick grew up on a dairy farm south of Lake Lillian and embraces the value of hard work and being part of a strong rural community. Rick is an active member and officer of the local chamber of commerce, a past school board member of ACGC Schools, past secretary of the Kandiyohi County Economic Development Board, and is active in his church as an organist, choir director and council member. Rick’s hobbies are time with his family, music, watching sports, motorcycle riding and spending time on the pontoon. Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis where he met his wife Pat and together they have three sons, Jake and wife Jaclyn of Sioux Falls, Joe in Brainerd, MN, and Micah and wife Channing of Sioux Falls.
